The Townsend Bio....
Edward has lived an interesting life. Edward E. Townsend was born in Temple, Texas. He was the oldest of five children and was raised by a single parent. Being the oldest he learned responsibility at an early age as well as showing talent for art, creative writing, auto mechanics, sports, martial arts & dramatic arts. He graduated with flying colors as one of the top three art students in his high school. From there he went on to spend a couple of years in college where he started developing a deeper love for acting and martial arts. He choose martial arts for the time being and started sparing in tournaments around California and other states. He mastered such martial art techniques as ju-jitsu, kempo, sho-dukon, taekwondo, hapkido, aikido, kung fu just to name a few. After study martial arts since he was thirteen and being recruited by several traveling martial artist groups Ed decided not to spare but to teach. In addition to training martial arts privately, Ed, the jack of all trades, worked as an auto mechanic, aerospace worker, a licensed bodyguard with some light contracting work on the side. He then decided to follow try acting and joined Playhouse 1960 group where he appeared in several classic productions as Raisin in the Sun and Fences where he received rave reviews. He's also been featured in such films as The Five Heartbeats, Marked for Death, Biker Boyz and Collateral starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx.
